● Ferro chrome
Ferro Chrome (FeCr) is an alloy of chromium and iron containing 50% to 70% chromium by weight. Ferrochrome is produced by electric arc carbothermic reduction of chromite. Most of the world's ferrochrome is produced in South Africa, Kazakhstan and India, which have large domestic chromite resources. The production of steel is the largest consumer of ferrochrome, especially the production of stainless steel with chromium content of 10 to 20% is the main application of ferrochrome. Chromium (Cr) is an element of the Periodic Table.
●Ferrochrome

According to the different carbon contents, ferrochrome can be divided into four types: high carbon, medium, low and extra low carbon ferrochromium. High carbon ferrochrome can be used as alloying agent for ball steel, tool steel and high speed steel with high carbon content. It can improve hardenability, wear resistance and hardness of steel. It can also be used as additive for cast iron to improve wear resistance and hardness of cast iron. At the same time, it can make cast iron have good heat resistance. Extra low carbon ferrochrome is suitable as alloying element additive in steel making.
● Classification
According to the carbon content, it is classified as high-carbon ferrochrome (carbon 4–8%), medium-carbon ferrochrome (0.5–4%), low-carbon ferrochrome (0.15–0.50%), micro-carbon ferrochrome (carbon 0.06%), and ultra-micro-carbon ferrochrome (less than 0.03%).

Applications
