2. ADVANTAGES AND APPLICATIONS
309 stainless steel features:
Corrosion resistance: Even when exposed to corrosive elements, 309 stainless steel can stand well in various atmospheric environments.
Heat resistance: It can be hot processed at 1177℃ and then quenched rapidly.
It is easy to weld by fusion or resistance welding (but it is preferably not oxyacetylene).

309 can be applied to various applications, including various accessories and equipment, such as boiler baffles, furnace components, oven liners, fire box boards and other high-temperature containers.
Basic introduction of 309S stainless steel:
309S heat-resistant stainless steel is austenitic stainless steel with high chromium and nickel. It has excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing medium and good mechanical properties at high temperature, so it can be used for both corrosion-resistant parts and high-temperature parts. It has good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. Because of the higher percentage of chromium and nickel, it has much better creep strength, can work continuously at high temperature and has good high temperature resistance.
Application of 309S stainless steel:
Oxidation resistance is better than 309. Actually, it is mostly used as heat-resistant steel, which is used in the manufacture of high-temperature furnace tubes with hydrogen stripping. Oxidation-resistant steel that can withstand repeated heating at around 980℃, materials for furnace parts, nozzles, combustion chambers and automobile purification devices. At high temperature, 309S has oxidation resistance, enough high temperature strength and good heat resistance.
