2. ADVANTAGES AND APPLICATIONS
436 stainless steel belongs to American standard ferritic stainless steel, and the implementation standard is ASTM A276/A276M-17.
436 stainless steel reduces impurities such as carbon and nitrogen, and adds elements such as molybdenum and titanium, which has excellent corrosion resistance and formability. It is more resistant to stress corrosion than 304 in harsh corrosive environments such as coastal atmosphere decoration and water pools.
SUS436L is the steel grade of Japanese Standard -JIS, which belongs to ferritic 4 series stainless steel, corresponding to the national standard grade 0Cr17Mo. This steel has reduced impurities such as carbon C and nitrogen N, and added elements such as molybdenum Mo and titanium Ti, which has good corrosion resistance and formability. It is more resistant to stress corrosion than 304 in harsh corrosive environments such as coastal atmosphere decoration and water pools. Because it is cheaper than 304 stainless steel without adding nickel.
